Moscow riot police continued their crackdown on anti-war dissent into the night of Saturday 24 September, with more mass arrests.

In Zarayade Park, large numbers of people not obviously protesting were dragged away by riot police seemingly determined to snuff out the growing opposition to the war in Ukraine and President Putin's plans to draft 300,000 more people for it.

The partial draft has seen flights out of Russia sell out and long lines of cars at border crossings. Some of those who remain have braved the very high chance of arrest, to protest, despite rumours that police can order arrestees to report for military duty.
