September 23: Russia orders mobilisation
Video has emerged of newly-mobilised soldiers brawling with members of Russia's National Guard forcing them onto busses on Friday 23 September.
The brawl broke out when police and members of the National Guard were overseeing the process of packing men who had just received a summons to join the military, onto busses to be taken away from the village of Bolshereche in the Omsk region.
But the indignant conscripts were not happy at being forced on board and grabbed some of their overseers, declaring that they too would have to "die in the trenches of Ukraine with them."
The police did not like it and a fight ensued.
President Putin has called up 300,000 troops as Russia's invasion of Ukraine has faltered.
The Russian government claims only reservists and those with military experience will be called on but there have been widespread reports that civilians who are neither are also being served conscription papers.
