Repairman falls through school roof in maintenance fail in Thailand
This is the dramatic moment a repairman fell through the roof of a school while carrying out maintenance work in Thailand.
The man had climbed up scaffolding to inspect the building in Nakhon Ratchasima province when the flimsy corrugated iron panels collapsed beneath him on September 26.
Footage shows how the worker fell feet-first to the floor, with onlookers screaming as he plummeted to the ground.
His colleagues rushed to check on his condition and took him to the Lam Tha Men hospital to have his injuries stitched.
Following the incident, superstitious villagers prepared a Son Khwan ceremony for him - a ritual in which female relatives tied up bracelets around the worker's wrist to speed up his healing.
Onlooker Boonsong said: 'My friend climbed onto the roof but he didn't check first. It was very weak and he fell through the surface.
'He was hurt but not seriously injured. We were doing maintenance at the time and he caused a bigger repair bill.'
