Thousands of mourners lined up to lay flowers near the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, where the state funeral of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will be held on Tuesday, September 27.

Amid tight security, about 4,300 people, representatives from 218 foreign countries, regions, and international organizations will attend the state funeral for former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who was assassinated in July while campaigning for an election.
