A shopkeeper was baffled after a flock of swallows flew into her store, but left other shops alone in Thailand.

The birds were seen fluttering in and out of the electrical appliance store in Nakhon Ratchasima on September 23, rampaging near the ceiling while owner Duenshine Boonkrong, 64, went about her business.

The animals flitted about aimlessly, with their high-pitched chirps echoing across the store's walls.

Duenshine said: 'On some days, pigeons will join the swallows as well, and both of them will battle just above my head.

'They have been here for the past two to three days and I'm not sure why they're not going into other buildings, but I believe they might be a good omen for me.'

The shopkeeper said she will test her luck by buying a ticket for the lottery draw.
