A baby snake sparked panic after it was found hiding inside an office drawer.

The tiny creature slithered inside the room from the window as it looked for a snack during the weekend when the building was empty in Rayong province, eastern Thailand.

However, the serpent appeared to have loved its new dark nest and stayed until a shocked worker found it among his supplies on Monday September 26.

Footage shows building maintenance staff pulling the creature out of the drawer using a broom as terrified workers could be heard shouting on the background.

Worker Wachirawit Frongk said: ‘I came to work as usual. I was looking for a pen when I sat down but I felt something moving as I rummaged inside.

‘I was so scared that I shouted. The door was closed so I could get out so I shouted for help.'

The worker claimed he felt the snake's tongue brush his hands as he felt inside the drawer.

He then pulled the drawer off the table and chucked it outside the workplace where he was found by kind staff who helped.

The snake had slithered into a nearby canal after the incident. No one was hurt in the incident.
