A woman is dragged by a moving train at Gaya railway station in India. She holds onto the handle not to fall under the vehicle.

Luckily, an officer of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) named Ghanshyam, immediately sees what is happening and rushes toward her and pulls her out.

The woman, Purmila Barman, 51, was at the station because she was travelling with her husband Suval from Gaya to Delhi.

She said that after she boarded the 13305 Dhanbad Dehri Intercity Express and went to the restroom, she decided to get off while the train started moving.

The woman suffered minor injuries and was given first aid. She thanked the RPF officer for saving her life.

The alert reactions of a police constable resulted in a woman being saved after she fell from a moving train in northern India's Bihar.

The incident happened at the Gaya railway station on September 27.

Visuals showed the woman falling from the train and was getting dragged by it. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable, identified as Ghanshyam, saw this and rushed towards the woman, pulling her out of the train.

The lady could have slipped and fallen into the gap between the train and the platform but thanks to the constable's quick thinking, her life was saved. Named Purmila Barman, the 51-year-old she and her husband Suval, travelling from Gaya to Delhi.

Purmila had boarded 13305 Dhanbad Dehri Intercity Express where she had gone to use the restroom when the train was parked at the station.

She tried to get down when the train started moving and it is when this accident happened. She held onto the handle of the train's gate and was getting dragged by the moving vehicle when the RPF constable noticed it and helped out to safety.

The lady suffered minor injuries and was given first aid, after which she felt fit and alright. She also thanked the RPF constable for saving her life.
