This is the amusing moment a dozy pet Siberian Husky ignored a thief who was raiding his owner's bar in southern Thailand.

CCTV footage proved the pooch was no use as a guard dog after the business was burgled in Krabi province on September 26.

The drowsy three-year-old pooch was seen continuing napping on the floor while the robber squeezes himself through the window of the shop.

Upon hearing the noise, the canine, named Sugar, turned to look at the intruder but promptly laid back down and drifted off, leaving the man free to ransack the establishment.

Bar owner Puripat Aosinsiri said the place was empty at the time as he and his staff had gone to dinner at a nearby restaurant after closing up shop.

He said: 'One of my staff came back to the bar early after eating and found the thief standing outside next to a motorcycle. He asked who the guy who he was, but he did not respond.

‘The thief only climbed onto the vehicle and sped off. My staff was afraid the man might have been carrying a weapon, so he did not confront him.'

The suspect - allegedly a regular at Puripat's bar - made off with a pair of headphones, several jars of cannabis, and 1,000 THB (26 USD) in cash.

The proprietor added: ‘I believe the person came to my bar often as he knew where things are kept. My dog also did not bark at him.'
