This is the heartwarming moment a devoted husband shaved his head in solidarity with his cancer-stricken wife.

The man, Ittiwat Turisut, 30, gave his wife Wallee Kraitong, 35, a haircut at home in Rayong province, Thailand after finding she had cancer and would have to start undergoing chemotherapy.

Emotional footage shows Ittiwat shaving off Wallee's long locks as she fights back her tears.

To show his support, he also has his head shaved, with the pair sporting matching hairdos.

Ittiwat said: 'My wife found that she had cancer two months earlier. I thought getting the same haircut as her would cheer her up.'

He added he was grateful for the outpouring of sympathy on social media, saying: 'Thank you for the positivity and encouragement everyone has given. It is this power that makes this world beautiful.'
