St Georges Basin Flood August 2015
Island Point Road, boatramp, St Georges Basin, NSW Australia. Taken just before the peak of an unusual rain event at low tide. The Basin has not been this high in the 14 years that I have lived there. It is open to the sea at the southern end and major flooding took place all around the foreshore of the basin, with over 300 homes being evacuated. In the footage the entire car park outside a restaurant has been inundated and waves can be seen breaking.
