Hundreds of tons of wild clams slam Vietnam coast

Hundreds of tons of wild clams were washed ashore by waves in Giao Thuy, Vietnam after typhoon Noru on September 29.

Hundreds of people flocked to the coastal alluvial area to pick up clams lying on top of each other after being washed ashore by waves.

Clams covered the coast stretching several kilometers. Although many clams washed ashore, most of the clams died.

Resident reportedly could collect up to five sacks of clams.
