Don't pay UK organised a national campaign this Saturday the 1st of October to protest the rise of energy costs and the wider cost of living crisis. Protesters are threatening to refuse to pay their bills once a million pledges have been reached, if the government does not put the bills down to affordable levels.
Protesters in Brighton gathered at the Clock Tower in the city centre and after several speeches, a fire was started and people burned utility bills, chanting slogans against the government.
