Sand Artist created Devi Durga with installation of different Fruits
On the occasion of Durga Puja Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has created a sand sculpture of Goddess Durga with installation of different types of fruits by giving a message."Wishing all peace and prosperity".at Puri beach in Odisha October 1st.
Pattnaik has created a 7ft high sand sculpture of Goddess Durga with installation of twelve different fruits like Orange, apple, grapes, banana, coconut, cucumber custard apple and pineapple etc. He has used about 7 tons of sand and took 5 hours to complete this sculpture. Students of the sand art institute join hands with him.
Every year Pattnaik tries to do something different on the sand during Puja. He also tries to spread social awareness through his unique art form. I wish all " Happy Durga Puja".
So far Padma awarded Sudarsan has participated in more than 60 International sand art championships and festivals around the World and won many awards for the country. He always try to spread awareness messages through his sand art like Global Peace, climate change, COVID19, Beat plastic pollution, Save water, Stop Terrorism and No Tobacco etc. His sand arts on social awareness are highly appreciated by the UN environment and WHO etc.
