According to locals, the flash flood was unprecedented in the area. They just ran out of the house and moved to a safe place. When the flood water receded they moved home and found their house surrounded by garbage and mud. Their belongings such as beds, wardrobes, and clothes were washed out. Everyone tried to clean up the furniture and the thick mud. This was the flood that caused them the most damage.
The entire village was completely destroyed. Many houses collapsed when floodwaters flooded in.
