Alexandra Olivieri, the filmer, was on a safari in Hoedspruit, South Africa, when she spotted a hippo wagging its tail and cleaning its behind.

"One of the things we wanted to see on safari was a hippo doing exactly what we found him doing", Alexandra said.

"Male hippos are known to spray their feces everywhere when marking their territories or trying to show off their dominance status", the filmer explained.

After watching the semiaquatic mammal getting his butt out of the water only to marinate the surface with his dung, the filmer concluded that life on safari is full of entertainment.
