EXTENDED: NYPD cordon off area where victim was struck and killed by truck near Times Square
The NYPD cordoned off an area on 43rd and 8th Avenues near Times Square at around 1 pm on Thursday (October 6) where a victim was stuck and killed by a large truck.
Footage shows the body underneath the truck covered in a white sheet. The victim's name has not been released.
The person became pinned under the truck, and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said to media sources and confirmed to Newsflare's filmer.
The age and gender of the victim are unknown. No arrests have been announced and the driver stayed at the scene, police said to local media.
