A group of Just Stop Oil activists have brought traffic to a standstill on Hatherley Street, London.

This roadblock marks the seventh day of protests by the climate activists who are demanding the government to stop its use of fossil fuels.

The filmer spoke to an activist named Zoe, 25: "We are here because the government are signing onto 130 new fossil fuel licences.

"The UN has said that in order to stay below 2c we have to transition out of fossil fuels.

"The government are giving ordinary people a death sentence. And whilst fossil fuel companies are making over £1 billion in profits just this year, ordinary people can't afford to hear their homes.

"The cost of living crisis is a climate crisis."

Just Stop Oil activists block London streets today (Friday 7 October) bringing the traffic to a standstill.
