An alert cop rushed to the rescue of a man, who slipped while getting on a moving train in eastern India's Jharkhand.

The incident happened at the Koderma railway station on October 7.

Visuals showed the man being dragged by the train along with his daughter as he held on to one of the handles. He slipped and fell and came close to falling into the gap between the train and the platform. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) cop, Neetu Kumari, who was present at the spot, quickly pulled the man and his daughter away from the moving train with the help of other passengers present at the incident spot.

The passenger later was identified as Mukesh Rai, 30 and he was travelling on Purushottam Express (train number 12801). He thanked the RPF for saving him and his daughter's life.
