A rhino charges a truck and gets hit by it in Kaziranga national park, India's Assam.

CCTV footage shows the driver trying to avoid the animal in vain.

The speed limit in this area is 40 km per hour, but the driver was traveling at 60. The man was travelling from from Jorhat to to Guwahati.

Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam's Chief Minister, said that the animal survived the crash and that the driver was intercepted and fined for exceeding the speed limit.

The footage was filmed on October 8.

A rhinoceros was hit by a truck in Haldibari animal corridor , in the cctv clip it's can be seen how this truck hit the rhino , maximum speed limit is 40 km per hours , according to local reports truck was traveling at a speed of 60 km per hours that time .
Updating about rhino , state chief minister Assam biswa sarma tells that the rhino had survived the accident , he further added that the truck has been intercepted and fined. Rhinos are special friends and we will not allow any infringement said the Assam chief minister.
The cctv shows that the truck driver tried to avoid hitting the rhino by changing at last moment , but failed to do so .
Local reports suggest that the truck was going to guwhati from jorhat and the vehicle is heavily fined .
