Hundreds of houses in the Kebon Pala area, East Jakarta, Indonesia, have been submerged by water today (October 10). The overflow of the Ciliwung river caused the flood.

Water reached more than 60 centimeters in some areas.

Footage shows residents walking through flood water and bringing some of their belongings with them.

Hundreds of residential areas in the Kebon Pala area, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, were flooded on Monday (10/10).

The flood was caused by the flow of water in the Ciliwung river which overflowed due to water sent from the Bogor area, West Java
The depth of the flood ranges from 60 centimeters to the deepest reaches more than 1 meter.

This is because the elevation contours of the area in Kebon Pala are different and varied.

This flood made residents carry their valuables to higher ground. And make people's activities become disrupted.
