A man in Cao Lanh, Vietnam, captured a huge frog hopping around his garden.

The filmer, Nguyễn Văn Trường, described the amphibian as "almost the size of a large chicken with a bulging body," after spotting it roaming around a lake in their garden.

The copper-coloured frog weighed a huge 1.1 kilograms, almost double its species' usual weight.

The amphibian was later released back into the lake. Trường said he'll try and catch the frog next year to see how big it gets.

According to the man, he caught the frog in the lake in his garden. He heard a loud noise coming from the aquarium. As he approached, he was amazed to see a giant frog from the lake. This was the first time he had seen such a large frog. The frog is almost the size of a large chicken, with a bulging body. After bringing the frog into his house, he weighed it and the frog weighed 1.1 kg.
Usually, copper frogs only weigh from 300g to 600g. But this frog has twice the weight. It probably lived a long time in the lake and ate fish food.
Soon after, the man released the frog back into his lake. He said he will bring the frog up again next year to see if it grows more.
