The queen may have left for the heavenly abode but the impressions she has left around the world are immortal.

One such fine example is the Christmas tree standing proud in Bengaluru's iconic Lal Bagh Garden.

The saplings were first planted by Queen Elizabeth (II) on Feb 21 1961 on her first visit to India.

She visited India for the first time in 1961 and was then hosted by the State King Jaychamaraja Wodeyar in Mysore (currently Mysuru).

She had then visited many places in Bengaluru and planted two saplings of the Christmas tree which is still standing tall and proud.

The video shows both the trees which have attained great heights and standing tall for over 60 years.
