Heartbreaking footage shows a cow kneeling down and refusing to leave its owner who sold it in northern China.

Video filmed in the city of Chengdu in Hebei Province on October 10 shows a 2-year-old cow refusing to leave when being taken away by a cattle dealer.

According to the cattle dealer Mr Li, after the cow's owner sold it to him, the bovine knelt down when he attempted to take it into his vehicle.

Although, Li and the cow's owner both felt bad. The owner finally sold the cow for 6,200 yuan (£780) to Li.

Li said he has been working as a cattle dealer for more than 10 years but it was the first time he had an experience like that.

The cow has been sold to a new owner on October 11, according to Li.

10月11日，牛贩李先生表示，已经有其他人从他手里把这头牛买走了，希望新主人能好好对待它。
