An alert cop rushed to action straight away to save a man, who had slipped while boarding a moving train in central India's Madhya Pradesh.

The incident happened on platform number one of Nagda railway station on October 10.

CCTV footage showed the man, later identified as Anandi Lal, running to board the Avadh Express (19037) when he slipped and fell. What's worse was that he was seen slowly getting into the gap between the train and the platform, which could have turned out to be fatal. However, RPF cop Vishal Kumar, who was present at the spot, didn't waste any time and ran towards the hanging passenger, pulling him out to safety.

People were seen going towards the man after he was rescued by the cop. Kumar's remarkable work was appreciated by his seniors who wrote a letter to the higher authorities for him to be rewarded for his brave work.
