This is the bizarre moment a jaywalking pedestrian walked away nonchalantly after cheating death in the Philippines.

The resident had escaped a fatal crash when motorcycle rider Emerson Tumlos braked his bike just inches from her while she was crossing the street in Pontevedra town, Capiz province on October 3.

Footage shows the lady ambling onto the road right into the path of Emerson's speeding motorbike.

The driver pulled the brakes just in time to prevent a nasty collision.

The unfazed villager then carried on shuffling to the other side, leaving a stunned Emerson shaken from the incident.

Emerson said: 'I couldn't honk at her because all of my fingers were on the brakes. That helped me stop the bike quickly.

'People were saying I should have seen her earlier. My camera uses a wide lens, that's why it looks far. But in reality, she was already close.'
