This is the awesome moment delighted beach campers found pearls inside oysters.

Roger Zamboanga caught more than 1kg of the mollusks to eat for lunch on a camping trip with friends in Bataan, the Philippines on September 18.

While they were cleaning it up, the youngsters found shiny objects inside that looked like pearls.

Footage shows the picnic goers using a rock to open up the oysters before finding three pearls.

Roger said: ‘It was amazing. We didn't expect to find such beautiful pearls inside our food.'

The pearls found were colour pinkish and silver. Roger added they did not know how much they were worth but the group of friends decided to keep them as a remembrance.

He said: ‘We really enjoyed the trip and we decided that we should keep the pearls instead as a remembrance.'
