On the video, you can watch the official inauguration of the Confucius Institute of the Aristotle University of the Thessaloniki (A.U.Th.), that was held on Saturday (15 Oct. 2.022) in the ceremonies’ hall of the A.U.Th.
The Confucius Institute was founded in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in December 2018 and it constitutes a joint venture between the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Shanghai University (SISU), Hanban, Center for Language Education and Cooperation.
A non-profit educational organization started its operation in the academic year 2019-2020 with the main aim of contributing to the preservation and promotion of the two countries΄ intellectual heritage and creativity.
The Institute’s mission is to teach and disseminate the Chinese language, to develop joint educational and research programs between the Universities involved and to promote the Chinese culture through a variety of cultural and educational events, which will be offered to the academic and broader community of A.U.Th. and Thessaloniki.

At the same ceremony, was presented the book of the introduction in Chinese language.
