Man robs £850 smartphone after pretending to buy the device in China
A man robbed a more than £850 (7,000 yuan) smartphone when pretending to buy it in a shop in northern China.
Video filmed in the city of Handan in Hebei Province on October 13 shows a man walking into a phone shop and saying, “I want to buy the white-coloured phone,” to the shop owner.
The shop owner then took the phone out to let the man have a look.
The man pretended that he was checking out the phone before suddenly running out of the shop.
The shop owner chased after him immediately but failed to catch up to him.
The shop owner was scared by the incident and has reported it to the police already.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
