This is the amusing moment a concerned cat stopped her feline friend from jumping from the top of a building.

The creatures were playing on a rooftop with their owner when the ginger moggy Jaja climbed up the ledge in Nakhon Phanom province, Thailand, on October 15.

A few moments later, a caring black and white cat, Mochi, approached Jaja and tapped on her back, asking that she climb down.

Footage shows Mochi looking at her friend and reaching out to her while meowing.

Cat owner Patcharaporn Chaiyarak said: 'These two cats grew up together. Seeing them communicate with each other makes me smile.'

Patcharaporn added the cats were like siblings and caring towards each other.

She said: ‘ I don't know what Mochi was really trying to say but I believe she is concerned for Jaja.'
