Factory's chimney pokes out of a blanket of fog that covered Cookstown, Northern Ireland, on October 18.

Drone footage shows plumes of smoke from the chimney piercing the layer of fog.

A rare glory phenomenon could also be seen in the aerial visuals. The filmer explained: "A coloured ring on the fog called a glory caused by sunlight reflected and refracted through water droplets."

They added: "Take off was from a high vantage point and filmed from three different locations."

Today we had a very atmospheric and spectacular fog display across parts of N. Ireland. I used my drone to capture these dramatic scenes, the local factory chimney tower was the only man made object visit projecting up against the fog bank, the smoke above the inversion was spectacular, also a coloured ring on the fog called a Glory caused by sunlight reflected and refracted through water droplets.
