Kind-hearted residents used a bed sheet to catch a kitten that fell from a building in southern China.

Video filmed in the city of Guangzhou in Guangdong Province on October 17 shows a British shorthair hanging from a building as the leash on its neck got trapped on the building.

A security guard was seen standing on a platform above using a pole to try to unhook the kitten's leash while a group of people held a bed sheet under the building to attempt to catch the feline.

After the security guard successfully freed the cat’s leash from the building, the kitten fell down from the 6-storey high place and was caught by the residents downstairs.

According to the filmer Ms Qian, since the kitten had a leash on its neck, she thought it was a pet cat. But she did not know where its owner was or how the cat get trapped on the building.
