This is the bizarre moment a strange pulsating creature that was half-buried in the sand was found by a beach-goer in Thailand.

The slimy marine animal baffled Christine Julen when she saw it trembling on the ground while walking along the shore in Koh Lanta island, Krabi province on October 7.

She thought it was a kind of seashell but after a closer look she discovered it was soft and ‘breathing.'

Christine said: ‘It was breathing. I touched it for a moment and it appeared to felt my hand. It was alive.'

The creature was a kind of sea cucumber called Holothuria notabilis with rough texture and dark brown colour. They are usually found on the sea floor and could be washed ashore by tides.
