A tourist was mesmerised by dozens of barnacles flapping on a Thai beach.

Footage shows tiny Leaps anatifera opening and shutting their shells in Koh Lanta island, Krabi province, on October 7.

Holidaymaker Christine Julen said she found the creatures while walking along the shallows.

She said: ‘They looked like they were sunbathing. These tiny creatures are one of the highlights of my vacation.'

Barnacles are marine creatures that live in shallow and tidal waters, usually in erosive settings.
