A mural tribute to Angelina Jolie appeared in Milan today (October 19) on International Day against breast cancer.

This video, shot by Movie Director Nicola Schito, shows "Love Yourself", the new artwork by Italian artist aleXsandro Palombo.

The artist presented his new street artwork during the month dedicated to the prevention of breast cancer, a powerful message of awareness with which the artist wants to celebrate the strength and courage of all women.

This is not the first time that Palombo deals with this subject. In 2015 the artist created the series entitled "SURVIVOR" which became popular worldwide. From Disney princesses such as Snow White, Jasmine, and Cinderella to Wonder Woman and Betty Boop, he portrayed cartoons' heroines as survivors of breast cancer and with the signs of mastectomy.
The artist intended to raise public awareness of breast cancer prevention, a powerful reflection on the disease, mastectomy and its effects, the acceptance, the female identity, and the importance of early diagnosis.

aleXsandro Palombo is an Italian contemporary Pop artist and activist, pioneer of social art, an artistic movement that he began to build almost 30 years ago, renowned for his colourful, reflective and irreverent works which focus on Pop culture, society, inequalities, inclusion and diversity, ethics and human rights.

The footage was filmed in Piazza San Babila, Milan.
