Hilarious conversation between exhausted homeowner and bear wrecking his bins
A repeat-offender bear ignored an exhausted’ homeowner’s pleas for it not to wreck his bins in the middle of the night.
Jeremy Bate was woken up by a commotion outside his house in Juneau, Alaska, US, on September 6 by a black bear wrestling his recycling.
Hilarious footage shows the 23-year-old shining a flashlight on his intruder just 15 feet away from his porch as he begged the massive animal "not to do this again".
Jeremy said: “I heard some commotion outside with our trash and recycling cans, and it is recognisable from the fact the bears wrestle the cans very loudly. I immediately recognized a fairly larger black bear wrestling with my trash can and proceeded to humour the situation by negotiating with the bear to leave and give up".
Despite Jeremy saying "I don’t want to pick up trash in the morning", the bear continued to effortlessly flip over the trash can for more than an hour.
Jeremy said: “I was exhausted after a 10-hour shift so was annoyed when this incident occurred. After the negotiations went south, it became almost fun and a bit nerve-racking because he was only 15-20 feet from my small porch so he could rush me at any time".
Jeremy said that this has been a recurring issue for months now. “He's known locally as Bubba and he's particularly known for being a fairly larger-than-commonly-seen bear and incredibly determined to break open people's trash for goodies".
Jeremy added: "He wrestled my trash can for nearly an hour before shockingly giving up after beating my can to a pulp and walking into the next neighbourhood to scour easier troves".
