Rare white-lipped deer were captured by a drone in southwestern China.

The video was filmed in Lhasa in Tibet on October 17.

Four Thorold's deer were seen wandering around and swimming in the river.

According to the National Forestry and Grassland Administration employees' preliminary judgement, the deer went down mountains in search of water.

The white-lipped deer is a unique species of deer in the country. They are a threatened species found in high altitudes in the eastern Tibetan Plateau.

There are reportedly more than 1,600 Thorold's deer living in Lhasa, mainly in Linzhou County and Mozhugongka County. They like to go down the mountains to drink water from the nearby river in autumn and winter.

近日，西藏拉萨城区河畔连续多日拍到白唇鹿。航拍画面显示，白唇鹿在拉萨河畔觅食、散步，甚至跳入河里游泳。17日，当地警方及林草局接报，有几只白唇鹿出现在拉萨河中。工作人员初步判断，白唇鹿是下山寻找水源。18日傍晚，有居民拍到4只白唇鹿排成一列在横渡拉萨河，河水淹至其背部仅露出4个脑袋。白唇鹿是我国特有鹿种，为国家一级保护动物，是栖息海拔最高的鹿类。
据了解，目前栖息在拉萨的白唇鹿有1600多只，主要分布在周边的林周县、墨竹工卡县等地。每到秋冬季节白唇鹿就喜欢下山到附近的小河来饮水。
