However, a court from the motorcycle gangster's home country along with cops in the U.S. issued an arrest warrant for him which lead to his capture outside a shopping mall in the capital Bangkok on October 18.

He was reportedly wanted for 'racketeering and conspiracy to deal internationally in drugs'.

Central Investigation Bureau Chief Police Lieutenant General Jirabhop Bhuridej said: ‘Thai police arrested the suspect in the Lat Krabang district of Bangkok on Tuesday.

‘He is wanted by New Zealand authorities on multiple charges.'

The criminal boss was reportedly wanted for multiple charges including racketeering conspiracy and drug trafficking.

Police Lieutenant General Jirabhop added: 'An arrest warrant was issued by a criminal court in New Zealand for him on June 24 last year which led to an arrest.'

Officers reportedly found Shane to be living on the holiday island of Phuket with his Thai wife but fled to another province Samut Prakan upon learning he had an active warrant.

He was living in the small room before being detained when he was seen in the capital.

Shane was remanded in custody upon arrested and is set to be deported to the U.S. where he also faces charges. He will then be deported back to New Zealand to face more charges.
