Rare 'Buddha's halo' surrounds tourist's shadow in China
A rare "Buddha's halo" was captured surrounding a tourist's shadow in southern China.
The video was filmed in Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province on October 19.
A motorist named Li Jiaxu saw a sea of clouds when driving past the area and stopped to film it.
He then saw the ring of light, known in China as a "Buddha's halo", after he got off his car.
The phenomenon is formed by the diffuse reflection and diffraction of sunlight irradiating the clouds' surfaces.
