Weather watcher explores drought-stricken Mississippi River as water-levels hit record low
A couple of weather watchers explored the drought-stricken Mississippi River after water levels hit a record low.
Footage from October 24 shows the duo walking along the dry what would be riverbed.
The filmer said: "We were able to walk a half mile out into what would normally be the centre of the river. It was pretty amazing.
"We found beaver dams, turtle trails, sunken boats, old items such as old glass Gatorade bottles, Indian pottery and fun playing in the giant sand dunes.
"It was almost a desert-like environment out in the river during this drought."
