Stunning partial solar eclipse captured above Kent, UK
A stunning partial solar eclipse where the sun appeared to have 'a bite taken out of it' was captured above Kent, UK this morning (October 25).
The rare solar spectacle - which shows a small section of the sun being covered by the moon - was filmed from the coastal town of Sheerness from 10am local time.
The sky was fortunately clear for most of the eclipse, but in typical British fashion clouded over at 11.30am, prior to the the final phase of eclipse.
Footage shows the spectacle as viewed on the screen of a camera fitted with special solar protection.
