Skateboarding legend Steve Caballero greeted fans at an event in Bangkok, Thailand.

The 58-year-old athlete was joined by other members of the Vans professional skateboarding team to promote the 30th anniversary of his 'Half Cab' shoe model.

Local extreme sports fans gathered at the Baan Preduce skatepark in Phra Khanong to greet the legendary boarder - named the Skater of the Century - from San Jose, California.

There was also a party with two live bands, seven DJs, and a skateboarding competition with cash prizes.

Steve, who featured on the iconic Playstation video game Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, said: 'It feels great. I'm very honoured and very blessed to be able to have a signature shoe for 30 years.

'I was last here in Thailand in 2001 so 20 years ago. My advice to youngsters starting out is to just have fun.'
