Piece of metal falls from construction site onto driver's windscreen
This is the scary moment a piece of metal from a construction site fell and smashed into a minivan's windscreen in Thailand.
Dashcam footage shows how the hammer-shaped object plunged from the unfinished Pink Line railway station in Nonthaburi province, shattering the vehicle's windshield on October 20.
Shaken driver Chanin Pratit said: 'I was driving along the bridge on the Khae Rai Intersection when this piece of steel dropped onto my car.
'So I made an immediate brake and was then hit by a car behind me.'
The impact left a crater on the windscreen, while shards of glass were found along the minivan's dashboard. The bonnet and wiper were also damaged.
Following the incident, a representative from Sino-Thai Engineering & Construction Public Company, one of the contractors for the railway project, contacted Chanin to discuss compensation.
The company has agreed to pay the fees for damage to his vehicle.
