A humpback whale and her calf emerged from the deep and gracefully glided alongside a group of divers off Moorea, French Polynesia.

Footage captured on October 23 shows the duo twist and turn as the divers watch the spectacle just metres away.

According to the filmer, the whales were there for around 10 minutes before swimming off.

While swimming in the tropical waters off of Moorea, French Polynesia, a mother Humpback whale and her baby emerge from the deep and gracefully glide with a swimmer. The baby begins to twirl and affectionately swim next to its mother.
