Park rangers push two wild elephants back to forest when they blocked road in Thailand
This is the moment park rangers pushed two wild elephants back to the forest when they blocked a road in Thailand.
The officers received reports from motorists that two male bull jumbos were lingering along a forest road in Nakhon Ratchasima province on October 23.
Several motorists were stranded in the area in the Khao Yai national park so a patrol team helped ease traffic.
Footage shows an officer's truck leading the creatures back to the jungle.
Tourist Ann Chitrapa said: ‘We have been waiting for almost an hour but the elephants would not leave the road. They were blocking the traffic and everyone was stranded.'
After an hour, the jumbos were led back to the forest and disappeared behind thick foliage.
The officers stayed behind to control traffic in case the creatures returned.
Thailand has an estimated 2,000 Asian elephants living in the wild where they wander freely among protect forests.
