Police officers in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, bulldozed liquor worth over $23,000 on October 27.

Officers lined up the 13,066 bottles of alcohol that had been seized by the police force. A bulldozer was then driven over the glass bottles.

Supplying and selling liquor from other states is illegal in India.

Police officers seized and destroyed illegal liquor amounting to Rs 19 lakh (USD 23,079) in southern India's Andhra Pradesh.

The incident happened in Tirupati district on October 27.

Visuals showed all the seized liquor bottles placed on the ground. A huge road roller was then run over these bottles as the vehicle crushed all of them with all the liquor spilling out on the road. Police officers stood and watched all the illicit liquor getting destroyed.

District SP Shri.P. Parameswara Reddy, as per their orders, destroyed about 13,066 thousand liquor bottles in the presence of Mrs. E. Supraja, Additional SP Administration, Tirupati District.

Supplying and selling liquor from other states is an offense under the Excise Act and such acts are punishable by law.
