A mother rat saved her babies from a flooded field in southern China.

Video filmed in the city of Ganzhou in Jiangxi Province on October 27 shows several rat babies struggling to climb out of a hole submerged by water.

A mother rat was seen carrying her babies to safety one by one.

The man named Li said he saw the heartwarming scene when watering the fields.

Since rats are pests in the countryside, people normally kill them. But Li let the rats go.

10月27日，江西赣州，李先生浇地时发现田地里有老鼠洞被淹，一窝老鼠幼崽在洞口奄奄一息。鼠妈妈正焦急地跑来跑去，挨个将幼崽们从被淹的洞口叼到田埂上。李先生表示，刚开始鼠妈妈好一会才叼一只幼崽，后来因为水流变快，母老鼠的动作也跟着变快，叼完后还再回到洞穴门口确定。当时看到这一幕觉得有点触动，感觉母爱很伟大。因为老鼠在农村被当作害虫，一般遇见它们可能会将其打死消灭，但这次决定放了它们。
