A Moscow blogger won a prize, and may have hinted at a political message, when he attended a Halloween party dressed as the Kremlin on Friday 28 October.

Timur Tsyrenov, a Moscow blogger who uses the pseudonym 'Son of the President' took, he said, three days to make the costume by hand.

It is not clear whether the costume was a reference to the horrors of the Ukraine war or President Putin's partial mobilisation of Russian men for it, although it seems unlikely that associating the country's seat of power with Halloween was intended to be positive.

Either way, his efforts were not in vain as he won first place in the party's costume competition, receiving 250,000 Russian rubles as a prize.
