Video shot in the Seoul nightlife district of Itaewon shows a narrow street packed with people shortly before a crush that killed 153 people on Saturday 29 October.

The video was filmed by Marie Meyer, who also went there to celebrate Halloween. She said she arrived in the area around 6pm but after seeing the huge crowd decided to leave.

"There were a lot of people so I went to a less crowded area," she said.

Marie said she was very shocked to hear about the deaths later: "I didn't know there were dead. It was horrible."

In a new video from Itaewon , it can be seen streets jaam packed with people there just before the stampede starts .
