Dramatic footage shows survivors clinging to a cable bridge moments after it collapsed in India’s Gujarat yesterday (October 30).

The video features images of people trying to climb up and helping each other to avoid falling into the water.

It has been reported that hundreds of people were on the bridge celebrating a religious festival when the structure fell. At least 133 people died.

The bridge had been reopened recently after undergoing repairs.

The video was filmed by a local journalist named Rajesh who said: "I rushed to the spot and was there 10-15 minutes after the news came out. When I arrived, I was shocked. At least 30 people were clinging to the bridge, trying to move upwards. Many survivors screamed asking to be rescued".

An investigation has been launched.
