Footage shows childing playing on a flooded road following heavy rains in Thailand.

The happy youngsters appeared to enjoy the deluge of rainwater that swamped the area outside their homes after a storm in Ang Thong province on October 30.

The road's uneven slope caused around 30 cm of water to flow like a river across it, turning it into an unlikely attraction among the locals.

Parents even prepared fish nets for the kids to catch fish that had strayed onto the asphalt.

Father Tui said: 'During the late afternoon, the vibes here are quite relaxing, and we take our kids out to have fun so we don't have to walk all the way to the waterfalls.'

Local media has reported that Thailand has this year seen 'an unusually sustained and persistent rainy season'.

Meteorologists have blamed climate change for the sustained heavy rain, which has been hitting the Thai capital and provinces around the country causing heavy floods for several weeks.

Thailand's Center for Climate Change and Disaster claimed the coming months could see heavier, longer rainfalls, due to 'climate change'.
